MG/Quickhand had always beat me whenever we faught and was the only person who could when I was near my prime. He had been the top fighter for a long time and it seemed no one could beat him. One day I became frustrated with it and trained with one person, and I just can't remember his name, but we trained for two weeks, and that is all we did. I completely left the chats and did nothing but train with him. Once I was done with my two weeks I did a test run and asked Kyros/Squall to spar with me, who I never defeated either. I eneded up beating him 5-2 and that gave me enough confidense to challenge MG. That same day I told him to fight with me. The fight took place in dojo, created by Yuush, and I beat MG 5-3. That same day I had become number one in speed fighting and gave up fighting, and retired. That was my only goal whenever I started was to become the best at it. After reaching my goal I never saw much point in continueing it.

You lucky bastard, I was never able to beat MG. We must've fought literally at least a thousand times. I was lucky enough to land a hit now and then, let alone beat him. I know he must've been crushed when he lost. Actually, the entire three years I fought alongside MG I only saw him lose once and that was against Hiro. You must've possessed some serious speed. Hopefully you can get back to that point and we can have a true battle.

I remember this. We fought like 10 times in a row and you managed to sneak in a W. Legit tho', no one else could do it at the time.

i honestly find it funny how, most of you people call yourselves the best, in whatever, yet you don't realize, there's always someone better, no matter how small the difference, there's always someone better and i also find it funny how most i've come across have been speed fighting, no one fights para/novel based, which is rather.. sad. i wish i could've fought some of these so-called "best" fighters, and actually letting them realize there's someone better.o3o

It's cause we more than likely are the best. We've been recording things since 1994+, it's fair to abide by that probability in all that we've ventured through. We've documented a substantially wide array of chat-sites for Speed. I wouldn't go at length to dilly-dally with anything pertaining to Turnbase, but this site primarily ended up only caring to really provide matters revolving around Speed-Fighting. With everything that has transpired over the years, leaping from site to site, it's definitely not far-fetched to assume who is the best -- especially in the area of speed: considering the pool of fighters has plummeted to morose numbers.
Turnbase is always left up for debate what regarding someone as the "best", simply for the fact it isn't clear-cut. Most TBL fights you'd see consist of writers comparative to Stephenie Meyer's work, which is horrendous. Anyone that has been classified as the "best", was more than likely circle-jerked by judges in competitions, such as GT-League. It would be asinine to refer to someone as the best in Turnbase, specifically for the fact there's no definitive margin of fighters to derive that proclamation from. Now, when there's only about 30 speed-fighters roaming around these days, it's exponentially easier to say, "Well, yes, this person is quite clearly the best out of the lot."
It's heavily unlikely that another base of Speed-Fighters exists at this point in time, mostly for the fact chatrooms in general have filtered RP-properties out of them quite abundantly with trolls and what-not. The only place that really seems to hold any number of Speed-Fighters now is Xat, me being included into that mix. Is it possible? Of course. But the probability is painstakingly grim to the point it isn't worth contemplating over.

same person as before, haha. speedfighting, ew. see, speed fighting in my opinion sucks. turn based? every forums and apps i've gone to all are what is called para or novellete rp. which if you don't know is T-1 and up. o3o i missundderstood, didn't know this was a bunch of speed fighters. i prefer something more skilled in text based. not let's play who can type faster than the other.cx

The problem with turn based RP fighting is that, for the most part, it's very subjective.
I once lost a turn-based fight, according to one judge, because he thought jumping chest height with a knee was 'unrealistic'.
Most of the turn-based fighting I've seen, without some kind of secondary system (dice, attributes, etc.) generally devolves into arguments about who is able to do what, what makes sense, etc. I love roleplaying but competitive RP turn based fighting is extremely tedious.
