MP/FP fight in #Swordsmans_Lair. The rules are common T1 Fantasy rules.
Suiryuuen and Nodin paired up to go against Kiyoto Aminimori. Now, the posts!
Nodin
The Swordsmans Lair sat in all its glory, hidden deep within the valley of Isamahii, only truly disocvered by those who were true users of the blade. It was once the finest swordsman locales in all the world, thousands had flocked to it daily in an attempt to fight the dojo's master, yet no one had taken him down in his own domain. The shinobi had arrived to test his mettle against the dojo's current master, the name? Kiyoto Aminimori. He had heard rumors of this warrior, one of the fierceist to ever walk the Earth. Yet here he was, standing at the tatami doorway with his gauntleted hand resting against the wood. He exhaled, his chocolate brown eyes closing for a mere second, reflecting on his mission. He had to win, if he failed, he'd die. He planned on going until he couldn't walk anymore. He slid the door open, catching the true feeling of this ancient dojo.
Once he was inside, he could feel all the bloodshed, the spirit of those who had once entered here. Some left as champions, others left in a body bag. Nodin would be the former, he would not lose. Especially with the two blades that hung low off the single leather strap from his waist. The first one, the white hilt blade was one he was sure his opponent would be able to recognize rather easily. It was the keikan katana, sharpened through thousands of battles, not even a single knick along the flawless body. The second was perhaps a blade of equal standing, maybe a tad bit weaker, but still a beast in its own right. It had a slightly rusted handle, the thin piece of sheet metal that wrapped around the wood had an equally as terrifying name. Ketsueki Mutsoka, the blade that could rip the Earth to shreds if the user desired. Well, maybe that was an overexaggeration. Yeah, that was it. It could lift mountains from the face of the Earth and throw them, yes, that better described such a fearsome blade. Or did it? Who knew.
Nodin took a few more steps into the dojo, immediately beginning to feel out the building. Testing the waters, searching for the presence that he had searched for. "Kiyoto Aminimori.." He spoke, his voice just as calm as the wind that rolled through the open door, bringing in the scent of the wild forest. "I have come to take your soul, and squeeze every inch of your evil aura out of you, take it then feed from it." He spoke, a more sudden fierceness that he usually only gave when his life was in danger. His eyes narrowed, feeling the steel metal plate slap against his spine from the wind. He felt two more presences in this general area, who was it? One, he could definately tell was evil. But the other? He had no idea.. Calmly, he flicked his thumb up against the pouch that hung from his left thigh. His index finger sliding out a three pronged kunai, spinning it on his finger tip to hold it out beside him. As for his other utinsil pouches, he had two more on his person. One on his left thigh, and the other on his lower back. Just below a pure black kodachi with a seemingly familiar aura about it. He stood at the ready, arm held out to hsi side and spinning the familiar kunai.. "Come out come out wherever you are.."
Suiryuuen
He was there, right where the events he foresaw were about to take place. Right in the midst of it, he'd be caught within the spiral of fate. It was unavoidable. It was certain. He had been living there for a while now, after his old home was destroyed by what appeared to be a horde of small demons. "Acquaintances" to the ol' man, perhaps. Rolling back a few months in his mind, Suiryuuen's mind, pristine fields decorated the area near a beautiful, vast forest. Through magical means, a small lake had been created within the land to grow crops and the like. The land was fertile like none other, but that all would change within the span of three days. Suiryuuen had gone out on a short trip towards a nearby settlement.
He figured he'd wear his usual clothes, armor made entirely out of the light yet strong mythril ore with a simple shirt and silk pants underneath it. You couldn't probably tell, but he was extremely comfortable in these. He also never forgot his sword, which possessed the same name as him. In reality, his name was Curator, but he'd forgotten with the passing of the years. Well, that, and he had been reborn, most of his memories becoming dormant in the process. With the help of the old man, he had been able to restore half of them, but I'm probably going too offtopic here. Back to the demons issue, as Suiryuuen was visiting this town, imps and gremlins attacked the modest house where he lived. As no defense mechanisms had been implemented to protect the premises, it was completely burned to the ground. The demonic entities decided to wait for him there, as they were after the sword. They knew Suiryuuen had to return, and return he did.
Sadly, for the demons, theirs was a short existence, for when the warrior saw what they'd done to his home, an unknown anger took over him. The embodiment of water itself, his movements were fluid, quick and powerful. So powerful that these creatures died in less than thirty seconds to his unbridled fury. Somehow, he'd stumbled into the Swordsman's Lair, and now he was about to face off against one of the most powerful warriors within the facility. 'course, he was not alone. A ninja by the name of Nodin had requested his help, and Suiryuuen accepted. He enjoyed a good challenge, and he enjoyed learning from it. He also enjoyed the thrill that battles gave him.
And so, here he stood by Nodin's side, approximately thirty feet away from his current location. Strands of azure hair covered his right eye, enshrouding him in a rather mysterious yet melancholic feeling. His arms were crossed and his spine leant back against the wall, using it to support himself. Only one of his feet's soles touched the ground, the other one was pressed against the wall as that foot's leg bent at the knee. He was, all in all, relaxed and ready to go. "Anytime now..." He muttered under his breath, seemingly ignoring Nodin for the time being.
Kiyoto Aminimori
Stillness. It was all that was known inside the confines of the abandoned temple; various vines had grown through the nooks and crannies of the walls, which had survived many assaults from enemies in the past. The stone walls looked as if they were about to collapse, yet remained steadfast in their creation. This place had a reputation to uphold; a proud, rich history of bloodshed. The former leader of the lair, the master of the dojo known as Kasake Sohjin, had undergone a transmutation due to the entities that surrounded the area; his soul had been deemed worthy. His body was a worthy vessel, perfect for a creature from another dimension to make its residence in. The body of the old samurai had changed with the seasons as well, differentiating itself from other humans at first glance. Jet black hair adorned the cranial structure of this specific being, one whom called himself none other than Kiyoto Aminimori, a scourge to lands known far and wide.
Multitudes of massacres were singlehandedly created by him, so much that every inch of him now reeked of the smell of blood; it was a part of his daily existance. He remained confined to the entrances of the Lair, and kept it standing for posterity. He enjoyed the 'myths' about him that were being spread across the world, for every new challenger that approached would keep his belly full for a few months. Hunt. Kill. Eat. This is all that this monstrosity now wanted, reminiscing upon the taste of human flesh as a long, snake-like tongue slithered out from inbetween parted lips to lather up his spiked incisors, glistening in the sunbeams that shone through the cracks in the roof above. He sat there calmly, holding onto an unsheathed sword that resembled something like a meat cleaver, with three rings attatched to the very edge of the sword.
Crimson yet opaque eyes stared down at the ground beneath his feet, waiting patiently upon the arrival of his two 'guests'. The hooded figure did not move, masking the second blade of azure hue under his robes. He closed his eyes consequentially, sending out a telepathic message to those two whom had entered his 'realm.' : 'I'm in here. Take the hallway to your right, and enter the chamber at the very end of it. We shall have our bout there'. He could barely contain his excitement; the bloodlust in the air that surrounded him was truly palpable, to the point that those with weaker constitutions would not be able to support themselves in the same chamber as him. This would be their first test, to see if they could find him. Shadows completely masked his physique, as he seemed to slink back into the wall ever so slowly, a demonic cackle invading the entirety of the room, echoing throughout the walls, as if to attempting to unnerve his future opponents. It was time to play the game, and win.
Nodin
Being ever the analysitic son of a bitch that he was, his brown eyes quickly began to dart from corner to corner of the room they were i. He heard the message that was delivered to them, the hallway on the right would obviously be inside the mountainous landscape that the dojo was built in to. "I guess we have to go through the door." He spoke, spinning the three pronged kunai one final time before gripping it in a backhanded manner. Crossing the distance between himself and the door, once he slid the tatami door open.. All he saw was a protruding darkness that was only broken by a single torch that hung form the ceiling.
He was use to the darkness, eyes were only used in the shinobi world to read with. He didn't need them in all honesty. So he began to walk through the darkness, using his ears to listen intently. Activating something very similiar to the Shigan, hearing everything, from the heart beat of Suiryuuen to the spiders making cobwebs in the corners of the hall way. After a few minutes of taking it slowly, Nodin ended up in the large chamber, standing just at the entrance and concentrating. "Can you feel it, Suiryuuen? The blood lust that dwells within his heart?"
Suiryuuen
Suiryuuen merely laughed, pushing his back from the wall to step away from it. "If you want to play by his rules, go ahead. I'll see what I can do from... Yes, there." His eyes spotted a weak section upon the ceiling and, through sensing the water particles in the air, he noticed a path over a few rocks, that took him exactly over that chamber that Kiyoto wanted them to go. "I'll see you there in a bit." The azure warrior said, directing the sound through the moisture within the environment so that only Nodin could hear them. With a simple kick of his right foot off of the land, his whole body shot upwards and pierced through the ceiling. Behind his movements, a trail of beautiful cerulean was left behind. That very light proceeded to enshroud his being, disappearing from view after a few seconds. Seconds that he spent walking down that path, jumping over the debris that blocked some portions of the hallway.
Nodin was only a few meters in front, and he'd probably end up entering the chamber first. Once Suiryuuen stepped upon the roof of the battlefield of Kiyoto's preferences, he'd unsheath his blade, taking the transparent weapon in his right hand and etching several indents upon the rock. Doing so carefully, so to not make the structure crumble in on itself, the cuts upon the stone let the sunlight filter inside the room. Nodin was down there, he could see and sense him. The only thing that was missing was the opposition; Kiyoto Aminimori. No doubt he'd be there soon. A surprise was awaiting him...
Kiyoto Aminimori
"Ever the clever one, eh Curator?" Kiyoto popped up from the adjacent side of the roof, grinning to himself as he glanced over towards the warrior that had brought his sword down atop the roof. A stream of fire escaped the mouth of the demonic entity, sending a line directly towards the azure warrior himself. He cackled slightly, stepping out from the rock formations and unsheathing his second blade; one that was a mirror copy of the sword Curator was holding.
He grinned to himself, knowing that this one was the one he needed to worry the most about..the shinobi would be taken care of. The so-called 'ninja' had failed to notice the tripwire at the entrance of the room, which sent various poison-tipped senbon towards his direction from point-blank range. The bases were covered, and the hunt was on.
Nodin
His eyes narrowed as the senbon needles were fired at nearly point blank range. Using his own natural quickness, Nodin brought the hand that held the kunai up with a very unrealistic speed. Only using his ears to deflect them, except for the single one that flew a few inches to his right. Smacking into the wall behind him with a dull thud. His right hand shot upward then, sending another of the three pronged kunais up towards where Curator was. Kiyoto was up there with him, he could feel the clashing of the two auras. That was a rather strange feeling, sensing the one evil, deranged aura mixed in with a magical fruit loopy one. "Show true ferocity, Keikan."
Suiryuuen
Taking it slow and easy, just as Kiyoto appeared near Suiryuuen's location, the latter pulled his sword out of the newly formed indent upon the roof. Simultaneously, he jumped approximately five feet backwards whilst lashing from the ground up and across the spot in front of him, producing a diagonal slash from right to left. Quick as always, a sudden formation of water melded with his own aura, the cerulean light which enshrouded him merely moments ago, surged forward to clash with Kiyoto's flames. The reaction was instantaneous and hot steam arose from the collision. Steam that'd be quickly seized by Suiryuuen himself by extending the influence of his aura from the water onto the air around the struggle.
Luckily enough, the three pronged kunai of his companion pierced through one of the indents on the ceiling. The azure warrior, also sensing this object, shot his free hand outwards to catch it. Spinning it around in his left hand's index finger before wrapping the rest of his fingers around its handle, he soon took a fighting stance once more, sliding his right foot in front of his body whilst the left one remained behind. His back was slightly hunched, but it didn't look like a battoujutsu stance; his sword was unsheathed and he held both weapons in front of him. "Knew you'd be up here... Thought we'd both dive into the wolf's maw? Think again, assassin." Suiryuuen's voice was stern as opposed from the calm tone he once possessed. He couldn't afford to take this opponent lightly. He was sure Nodin couldn't, either.
Kiyoto Aminimori
A guttural snarl resonated from the volal chords of the demonic apparition, as he swung his own version of the waterblade Suiryuuen through the air, collecting some of the hot steam within the porous surface of the blade. He opened his mouth slightly, allowing the words "See ya," to slip through, as he sliced the blade down towards the cieling, causing it to cave in from the middle and over where the shinobi was hiding.
He swung the blade in his left hand in a downwards arc as he fell, sending a wave of brilliant energy down towards the shinobi himself. The blue blade was aimed towards the shinobi, hoping the dimensional sword itself would cause him to flee in the direction he was anticipating. His orbs followed the energy wave's movements, as he continued his descent down into the depths of the chamber.
Nodin
He instinctively shot his free hand down to the white hilted katana on his waist, shifting his right foot forward before making a wide, yet incredibly fast slash to the air in front of him. Without a second to prepare himself, the wind exploded off Keikan. The fierce wind shot upwards towards the heavy debris from the collapse of the ceiling, literally cutting the massive chunks of rock into nothing but pebbles which would simply rain down around him. Finally settling around him, catching the pure motion of the energy that was being shot towards him.
Using his new-found mastery of the wind itself, his figure literally flickered from existence. Only to appear to the side of where he was standing, approximately ten feet and out of the range of the energy. Or so he had hoped. He crouched himself, fixating his eyes upon the male who had shot the blast at him, saying something under his breath. This male was strong, and he prayed Suiryuuen could handle himself.
Suiryuuen
"Tsk. Running away!?" Suiryuuen shouted out as he pulled half of the steam the closest to himself from the rest whilst jumping back to prevent falling into the newly made ceiling hole. This portion would conjoin with the invisible and previously cerulean light which surrounded him which promptly regained its luminescence. As for the rest of the steam, it was solidified in all but an instant, forming several icicles in midair. The expansion of the icicles was caused by the addition of water molecules enhanced with Suiryuuen's own power and, naturally, his blade's.
The ice blocks had only one target; Kiyoto, though they'd also fall around him. Approximately seven icicles the size of a fully grown pineapple rained down while only one remained behind. With their initial speed plus the momentum they gained from the fight, they very well rivaled a strike caused by a freefalling bowling ball. The azure warrior'd save this last icicle for later...
Kiyoto Aminimori
"Hahhh!" An excited grunt escaped Kiyoto, as Tenbatsu's true power came into play; the sword itself had left a dimensional rift from the edge of the blade's tip to the end of the swing..in other words, directly in front of Kiyoto. Knowing that the shinobi would be too busy to defend himself, and old predictable, noble Curator would attempt to impale him while he had his back turned, he knew that this was the best option. He dove directly into the newly formed rip, falling into the next dimension. The seemed to hang there in the midst of it all, before abruptly closing itself up in a flash of brilliant light.
Kiyoto tumbled and rolled on the barren ground of his own dimension, as he began to release a stream of water around his figure, circling his body ever so slowly. He held Tenbatsu in his right hand now, as he uttered out, "Rain punishment to the face of Man..Tenbatsu!" The blade itself extended and transformed, engulfing his right hand in a 20-foot long golden gauntlet; spiked fingers twitched in symphony with his own clawed hands, each having microfibers attatched to the joints, which read the brain's synapses and gave the direct order to the gauntlet as well. He grinned as he ran Suiryuuen's water down the length of his newly transformed blade, panting slightly to regain his composure. Now he'd begin his onslaught.
Nodin
Narrowed his eyes as the male disappeared within the barrier, still holding the kunai in his left hand, he slowly reached behind him and unsheathed the kodachi. The snake-like blade flexed as his energy flowed through it, opening his mouth to speak something a little familiar. "Ignite your venom, Hebii." He spoke, hearing something resembling a snakes hiss as the blade sprung to life, immediately wrapping around his left arm and clenching down rather tight. His new form of defense would be.. interesting. -=Suiryuuen, can you hear me?=- He asked, attempting to make mental contact with his comrade, praying the man could be telepathic.
Suiryuuen
A soft sigh escaped his lips as Suiryuuen's sheath and edge began to glow. Attaching the three pronged kunai to the belt around his silk pants, blade and sheath merged into one once he took the latter closer to the former. A thick, dense mist, product of the harshly low temperatures that the weapon projected, surrounded him. Ice conjoined the enlarged three metres blade to his arm, wrapping itself around the whole extent of the limb up to his shoulder. The edge jutted out from one of the icicles, continuously spreading the deadly mist.
Any object that this weapon touched would instantly vaporize, not through high temperatures, but to a temperature of near absolute zero levels. Additionally, the icicle that had been left behind exploded into countless speckles of diamond dust. Spreading through the whole battlefield, the minuscule particles remained dormant in the air, letting the wind carry them here and there. Finally, the cerulean light, more or less attached to Suiryuuen's body, spread around him in the form of an eight feet hollow sphere made out entirely of water. Seemingly awaiting within that transparent "egg" for his opponent to reappear, he replied to Nodin down there with a shout which the water in the air carried. "YEAH. I'M UP HERE. OF COURSE I CAN HEAR YOU."
Kiyoto Aminimori
"Drip..drip." The sound of water falling into a small puddle could be heard by the form of Nodin, as an elastic water-whip shot out to wrap around the ankle of the man. "Step one." The gauntlet shout out of a dimensional rift created by the claws on the gauntlet, tearing through the air at high speeds to grasp the hilt of his newly released blade. He didn't waste any time stepping out of the dimensional rift, only increasing his range even further.
The blue blade held in his open left hand began to hum in a low reverberation, as the gathering of water from the puddles on the floor began to surface into the air, surrounding his figure in a protective fashion. It meshed with his dark, demonic energy, as the shadows began to creep along the floor, darting upwards towards where Curator was. A single cloud blocked out the sunlight from reaching the warriors, which caused his shadows to strengthen with each passing second. They sped up and shot out towards Curator, jutting out from under the roof from where he stood, sending his physical energy throughout the attack. He stood there, licking his fangs in anticipating of a future meal. His primary intention was to steal that blade away from Nodin; troublesome as it was, he didn't need to deal with a nuisance of that kind.
Nodin
He felt Keikan react to somethat that was sneaking up on him, the water that had wrapped around his ankle had alerted him to its presence. Without so much as a second that, he channeled Keikan's wind into the tentacle and severed it clear from the body and ripped his leg away. Making sure there were no water droplets left on the leather boot before backpeddaling away from that previous location. Now keeping a rolling wall of wind between himself, and everything and everyone else. ".. Oro?" He said outloud as the males voice reached his ears, -=You don't have to shout, I can hear your words even if they were whispers. We need to regroup somehow, this guy is tough.=-
Suiryuuen
A sadistic smirk crossed Suiryuuen's facial features as the panorama became darker and darker by the second. He didn't need to see what was happening to know that his enemy had turned to the offensive, perhaps even wilder than before. But it was fine, for the physical shadows happened to push away the tiny particles of ice he'd left within the air mere moments ago. Using these to path the trajectory of his next movement, he'd solidify what little ice remained into bright threads of white. Secondly, he'd perform a sweeping slash from left to right, cutting a large gash through the hollow water sphere as well as touching every single thread with the enhanced Suiryuuen. The properties of the weapon were passed down onto the threads of ice, and as the shadows clashed with these, they'd vaporize almost instantly.
The physical shadows the farther from the threads would merely freeze in place. As for the severed dome? It'd solidified into hundreds of ice shards, each one glowing as brightly as Suiryuuen and expelling that very mist. Needless to say, they rained down onto the battlefield, aiming to completely pelt the figure of Kiyoto. The glint of metal could also be seen between these ice shards, as he'd also launched the weapon his companion had given him moments ago. The more projectiles the better, and if he could enhance them...
Kiyoto Aminimori
A grin came across Kiyoto's face; these inferior creatures were trying to hard to retaliate but couldn't bring themselves to fathom the depths of his true powers. He stepped into his dimensional rift again, dissapearing at the shoulder after having failed on his contact with the shinobi. At least, it was as such to the naked eye. The strand of water had cast its shadow along the floor, which connected Kiyoto's shadows to his own. The gauntlet was brought down on the connecting shadow with utmost speed, grasping the solidified link between the two warriors and pouring massive amounts of dimensional energy into it. The arm forcefully pulled the connecting shadow of the shinobi into the dimensional rift with it, forcing him to becoming ensnared within the demonic realm of Kiyoto.
The radiating aura of Kiyoto's Suiryuuen pulsated, as it ran a stream of boiling water up along the golden gauntlet; it shot out in thousands of streams to create a collective pool of amassed boiling water, which caught the ice shards that rained down upon the form of the sword. "No tricks," Kiyoto uttered to himself, as he pushed the boiling water forward, rapidly propelling itself into the direction of Curator within seconds. The edge of the water prison aimed towards the dimensional rift became nigh-solidified; elastic to a certain extent. He hoped to ensnare this warrior with his favorite element, while he stripped his partner's freedom of movement with the link between the two. The demonic entity's aura and constitution quickly overpowered Nodin's ensnaring him completely to take him as prey.
Nodin
Let out a noise as he was suddenly pulled towards the dimensional rift. Shadows were intangible, there was nothing he could do, damn it damn it.. -=Suiryuuen, I'll see you in the after-life.=- He exhaled, letting himself get pulled into the dimension where the other male had been hiding this entire time. So it turned out he'd be leaving with the second option, not as a champion, but as a prey. And he had fought so hard, it was over for him.. Goddamn it..
Suiryuuen
"So be it..." He muttered to himself, managing to pull roughly half of the ice shards back before they touched the boiling pool. Naturally, between these, the metallic weapon was also pulled back, and it was then devised that a tiny thread of ice connected the kunai with one of the shards. By then, it was obvious that Suiryuuen was planning something with that artifact, but what? Nevertheless, the ice shards that did touch the boiling pool of water merely did what they had to do. The vaporization was instant as the water clashed with the ice, though the freezing was even more evident in the areas the farther from the clash. A few streams managed to get through and were met with a quarter of the remaining shards.
"Well, then.." He spoke, catching the three pronged kunai as a small portion of the cerulean aura seeped into it. Absorbing water from around himself as well, his mythril armor projected several streams of light that, once filtered through the ice shards, created rainbows and optical illusions. Such an illusion was an exact copy of Suiryuuen through the manipulation of the water particles and making them solidify in precise spots. As such, Suiryuuen's figure was reflected and refracted upon a myriad of thin ice layers. Infused with his own energy, the real one was nearly undetectable, though since his opponent was still inside that rift, there was little he could do but wait...
Kiyoto Aminimori
The body of Nodin was tossed into the dimensional rift like a rag doll, his influence being too strong for the young shinobi to break. "You'll make a decent meal later," he uttered out, as the shoulder plate of Tenbatsu's released form sent out various spikes, creating a thin-yet-noticeable tear within the original dimensional rip. (Lol inception.) This sent the shinobi into a world between worlds; a dark, souless void where none had hope of returning to. At least these worries were over. "What lovely parting gifts...hahaha," he chuckled softly, as the golden gauntlet of Tenbatsu dissipated in a flash of brilliant light, returning back to its blade form. Kiyoto stepped out of the rift, allowing the multi-layers of the portal to aptly close behind him.
He clenched his right hand over and over again, sliding Tenbatsu back into the leather strap that held it on his back. He did the same with Suiryuuen, picking up the two 'new toys' that were left behind by the fallen shinobi. "Never hurt what you can't kill," he said with a sudden pause, "Well, I guess you still haven't hurt me, so that doesn't apply." He smirked nonchalantly, his tongue running along the still-released blades. He picked up the Keikan's hilt, the obsidian katana shining with the small traces of light that now poked through the passing cloud. Resheathing Suiryuuen upon his left hip, he also grasped the kodachi, Hebi, which remained in its initial blade form. He crossed the blades in front of each other, stepping into a crouched stance. His darkened energy began to fluccuate into these two blades; how nostalgic. As his previous life as Kasake Sohjin, he had faint memories of forging these blades with a righteous intention...what a fool's dream that was. Now they were only harbringers of destruction in Kiyoto's hands..-
Nodin dies here and the battle turns into Suiryuuen VS Kiyoto.
Suiryuuen
Seeing his partner commit suicide, Suiryuuen brought his left hand, naturally, tucking the three pronged kunai away first, to his forehead. A loud slapping sound could be heard echoing throughout the scenario, carried by the water particles in the air. The layers of ice multiplied, as if surrounding Suiryuuen himself farther and farther. Due to the increase in size of these, his figure also took on a bigger appearance as Kiyoto could appreciate if he looked up, for there was a twenty three meters tall projection of the azure warrior.
However, if Kiyoto looked closely, the projections could be found in more or less every single place where he looked. North, south, east, west, the spaces in between, the entire chamber had been surrounded by multiple layers of ice. Suiryuuen took advantage of this situation by liberating the cerulean energy which was attached to his body in concentrated rays of energy laced with his sword's property. Exactly seventeen rays shot out from the armor as an additional three jutted out from his sword, rebounding at high speeds from ice layer to ice layer. The angles shifted slightly and each ice layer began to turn around in place. Slowly but surely, Suiryuuen moved between these as well, aiming to confound his enemy with the ever shifting images, hoping Kiyoto didn't see the single beam that was about to pierce through the east wall of the chamber, vaporizing the rock upon contact and looking to sink within his spine.
Kiyoto Aminimori
"Guess the first move's yours." The hissing of snakes could be heard, as the twin snakes of the great sword Hebi erupted from the leathery snakeskin hilt. Kiyoto thrust his body upwards into a great leap, his eyes focusing on the sky above him. Wings erupted out from the back of his attire, granting him some aerial maneuvers in an attempt to escape the initial beam of energy that blasted through the chamber. The demon hovered in mid-air, allowing his jaw to unhinge and fall limp over his chest, as a piercing howl reverberated throughout the entire chamber, bouncing off each of the ice walls to echo in the chamber, amplifying it significantly via the harmonics in the room. The twin giant snakes slithered about the room, crashing into the ice shards and absorbing them one by one, aptly utilizing the blade's abilities. The air in the midst of the battle started becoming distorted by the soundwaves; the screech was nearly unbearable.
Suiryuuen
Suiryuuen directed the layers of ice to block the amplified soundwaves accordingly, preventing them from reaching the paths he transversed. "Can you feel the excitement? That feeling that wells up inside your mind, inside your soul, when there are so little movements left for a checkmate...?" The azure warrior whispered as he stepped into simple water molecules solidified into layers of ice that acted as a makeshift floor. Whilst the soundwaves were blocked, the beams of ice weren't, for the multiple pathways that they took only allowed them to keep bouncing off of other ice layers. Oddly enough, each layer began to radiate a faint luminescence which was only made more prominent when the crashing of the serpents took place.
However, this time, three beams threatened the enemy. The first one pierced through the western wall of the chamber after Kiyoto had leapt, promptly bouncing off another ice layer to assault him from point blank, though the noise produced by the destruction of more rocks would hardly allow this to be a surprise attack. Meanwhile, another beam approached him from above whilst a single one aimed to pierce him right between his eyes. A three pronged attack that would soon have more companions to complement it...
Kiyoto Aminimori
Done. As Hebi absorbed the energy from the ice it had touched, it transferred it into the palm of Kiyoto via its hilt. It followed the path up to his body, revealling where the real one was. The snakes came up and coiled their bodies around him, absorbing the energy directed from the energy beams. This was truly a worthy opponent, one whom he had been waiting to fight for the longest time. A soft "shinkt" sound could be heard from the inner saya, muffled between the bodies of the twin energy serpents, as the previous blade Keikan was resheathed. In turn, Tenbatsu was once again unsheathed, placing the tip of his blade against the second coiled serpent.
The snake began to radiate with dimensional energy, having absorbed some of the power of the dimensional-cutter itself. Kiyoto deemed only one of the snakes neccesary for power absorption, so he promptly uttered to the second snake, "You may go now, do as you please." With a responding hiss, the snake dissapeared into a dimensional rift, searching for the energy signature that it's 'brother' alterted it of. These ice mirrors were no longer a barrier to Kiyoto; not even a threat behind a defense as pure as this. "Come out, come out, wherever you are," he uttered in a singsong tune. He held Tenbatsu steadily in his free right hand, ready to use it at any moment's notice.
Suiryuuen
With a soft snap of his fingers, each layer began to create that cold, thick mist that seeped out from the augmented Suiryuuen. The luminescence was only the prelude to what'd happen next. As each of the snakes had also absorbed one of the layers, taking within them the energy from Suiryuuen himself, it wasn't hard to make use of it. After all, absorption was one of the things he was prepared for, thanks to the ol' man. The mist also began to seep from within the snakes' bodies, flash freezing part of their insides, though not enough to prevent all movement. The more this mist seeped out, the more they'd freeze.
The ice layers re-arranged themselves and Suiryuuen showed himself to his opponent, albeit mirrored. 'course, the perspective from the point of view of the layers and the real perspective of Suiryuuen were different only in that sense. It was a perfect dome now, only allowing a radius of twenty feet of free space within its spherical build. Yet, something was wrong. When Suiryuuen lifted his right arm, consequently lifting the edge of his sword, so did the figures within the ice layers. The cold was more prominent near his enemy rather than where Suiryuuen was hovering, getting closer and closer to Kiyoto's scalp. The rest of the light beams slid into the ice layers as the azure warrior readied his next plan.
Kiyoto Aminimori
A loud screech came from the right of Kiyoto, as the second snake with the dimensional abilities seemed to come out of nowhere, opening the rift itself. The snake opened its mouth and devoured the entirety of Kiyoto, dragging him back into the dimensional rift. Only thing left of his presence was the unsheathed Suiryuuen, which was now pulsing with dark energy. A blackened, misty aura surrounded its figure, as Kiyoto retreated himself to the recesses of his dimensional rift. Now all he could do was lie in wait, as he unsheathed Keikan once more, uttering out the incantation.."Show true savagery..Abamawemaru Keikan..."
Suiryuuen
"So be it..." Suiryuuen uttered, putting some of his magical abilities to use. He'd retract within one of the countless layers of ice, partaking of their power and lacing them with his own; the conjoining of both his qi and his mana laced with the energy that also seeped from his sword. Xianguafa, the method of conjoining, which granted not only incredible physical and spiritual power, but also enhanced strength and agility whilst also giving protection against physical and magical attacks. This also includes resistance to heat, cold and poison, though Suiryuuen naturally possesses two of the three. Simply put, Suiryuuen performed the union of two opposite energies and laced them with a third one; his sword's, in anticipation to Kiyoto's possible last resort.
Kiyoto Aminimori
Was it dangerous to allow his opponent to prepare more defenses? That was a definite 'yes' in Kiyoto's book. However, now that Keikan had become fully released, it was time to prepare his secondary effort. "Rain punishment from the heavens, Tenbatsu!" Once again the blade engulfed the entirety of his right arm, revealling the 20-foot golden gauntlet once more. He was in a tight spot for sure; his limited abilities couldn't stand up to something of a a magical nature for very long. He had to end this and fast. He closed his eyes, gathering demonic energy within his body, as his entire physique became engulfed in a shadowy aura.
He brought the hilt of Keikan, which was now fashioned as a gauntlet on his left hand, up towards the middle of his forehead; a signal of his 'third eye. Using a blade like Tenbatsu, and expecting pinpoint accuracy took alot of focus, whether in or outside of its specific dimension. However, aiming it with the right calculations, he could do more than just rip dimensional rifts at random. The millions of scattered blades of Keikan fluttered down upon his physique, creating a metallic armor which denied light and refracted it away from him, opting to use the usually-offensive capabilities of the blade for a more defensive tactic. The blades continued to multiply on his physique, creating more and more layers of blades upon his form, keeping his joints available to utmost flexibility and movement. Inside of the serpent's mouth, Kiyoto continued to concentrate, preparing his next move; one he hoped, would be the end-all.
Suiryuuen
Residing within each and every single one of the ice mirrors, one could even say that Suiryuuen had a personal dimension. And this wasn't too far from the truth, for, in his past, he'd also met the renowned mage Vincent Fiorelli. In one of his travels, after the old man died, Vincent had helped him revive a few memories from his life as Curator. In fact, the water spells he had already learned from the old man who had took him in when he was a baby were further trained with him. As such, he was also able to develop this little trick. When he phased within the ice mirror, he passed through a square boundary; a portal to the other magister's dimension. 'course, he was only allowed to use one of the hundreds of thousands of boundaries which existed within, but for the time being, this was enough.
From this vantage point, he could see through each mirror, and as he continued to empower himself, each layer shone more and more. If one looked at this dome from afar, they'd wonder whether it was a miniature sun or just a byproduct of something else. Perhaps bombs, perhaps a new type of weapon, perhaps even a new type of radiation. But no, all of these guesses were wrong, for the source of light was the energy produced through Xianguafa, growing stronger as each minute passed. Until his opponent showed up, Suiryuuen's hands were tied to strengthening his defense should a more powerful attack come from out of that dimensional rift. He knew what his opponent was capable of, and he wouldn't lower his guard in the late stages of this grand battle.
Kiyoto Aminimori
The serpent cut out from the dimensional rift, spitting out a figure who was standing there, shivering, perhaps from the loss of all the energy into the swords. The robes that covered his physique could not hide the shimmering of thousands of blades beneath it; it was only a matter of time. A voice resonated throughout the area, "C'mon Curator..take your best shot.." A low humming could be heard reverberating throughout the room, as he began to walk forward to peer into the nearest glass; with a defense as absolute as his, there was no way he'd be able to be touched at this rate.
Suiryuuen
Nearly imperceptible beads of sweat sprayed across Suiryuuen's forehead, originating slowly yet remaining static upon his skin. His sapphire eyes were slowly brought to a full close as a faint wave of luminescence was liberated from each and every mirror. It resembled something in slow motion. Like dozens of spirits wanting to be free, like souls wandering about in the netherworld, each one of the streams of energy liberated from within the mirrors left behind a trail of pure white. They all surrounded Kiyoto, as if enveloping himself in those lights comparable with threads of white, but that is not what they wanted. They wanted to slam into him. They wanted to obliterate him. They wanted to flash freeze him on the spot. And yet the mirrors continued to glow. Even after the myriad of soul-like streams of aura was liberated, the luminescence persisted. And from every single angle, the streams attempted to clash with Kiyoto's body, and the metallic sparkle underneath his robes...
Kiyoto Aminimori
The figure had indeed become frozen in his steps; he had become a slave to the frozen prison created by the brilliant flash of lights disrupted by his opponent. However, a loud chuckle was still heard throughout the vicinity, as Suiryuuen, still amassing the dark energies of Kiyoto on the ground, flew straight for one specific mirror, tapping it lightly with the tip of the blade as it screeched to a halt. The energy flucctuated into the mirror and the magister's dimension, as the real Kiyoto slid out from hiding in a dimensional rift from above. The ice below shattered, revealing the body of the shinobi, Nodin, whom had been transported alive to the dimensional rift earlier.
He was used to bait his former teammate out, and draw his fire, whilst Kiyoto made a safe entrance from the walls of the chamber. "Now then, Curator, how about we settle this face to face?" The blades that rested under Nodin's clothes sliced the ice out from within, returning towards Kiyoto's body to add yet another thousand-fold layer of blades to his body. Dark energies continued to amass, infecting each mirror by the second. The mental capacities of the demonic mastery were no joke. His blood-stained fangs glistened in the sunlight that streamed in from the nearly-demolished battle chamber. He held up a middle finger with his Tenbatsu arm, discs of energy forming in the tip of each of his claws. "Well then Curator? How about it."
Suiryuuen
"It seems you fail to grasp the power the creator of this dimension holds..." As Kiyoto's blade began to corrupt one of the countless mirrors, Suiryuuen stepped out of one located in the opposite side. Once the dark energy managed to fluctuate within the magister's dimension, it was isolated within the boundary only for the fail-safe to activate. The boundary ceased to exist, and with it, the energy spread inside of it. The azure warrior slowly cracked his neck, returning his weapon, Suiryuuen, to its original form, as he'd be able to use both the sword and the sheath.
However, the countless mirrors' light shot out at, quite likely, the speed of light only to sink within the warrior's body. A small smile crossed his facial features as he nodded. "Now that that's taken care of... I suppose I can, hm...?" That said, Suiryuuen tapped into the dormant technique of Suishourin, bringing his transparent blade to remain in front of his body whilst the sheath remained behind his back.
Kiyoto Aminimori
"Well then." He flicked the first energy disc into the direction of Curator, as Suiryuuen fell from above, aimed directly towards the head of his opponent. He grinned slightly, watching these actions take place, wondering what kind of movement his opponent would choose to make here. The fluctuating blades of Keikan began to peel off his body, dispersing a layer of several hundred thousand into the wind, dissapearing as they merged with the oxygen molecules around him.
Suiryuuen
Using the water in the air as a sonar of sorts, he devised the trajectory of both the energy disc and his opponent's Suiryuuen. He did so in such a way that, with a quick step back and the mere touch of his sheath against the transparent blade, it'd launch towards the energy disc and dissipate it. His footing, however, remained stalwart as the momentum produced by both the step back and the landing was accumulated by Suishourin and stored away for later use. With a single slash of his own transparent blade, however, a myriad of icy sickles took their place upon the battlefield, circumnavigating his figure whilst producing whistles akin to swords cutting through thin air. No matter what his opponent did, Suiryuuen'd be ready for it.
The fight ended with a stalemate and we later declared a tie. This is another teacher vs student match, with the teacher being Sohjin and the students being Ran and me. I am no longer a student, as I was able to 'graduate' from under Sohjin's tutelage after the bout.
