Passing on a torch with no fire bears little meaning. Any veteran can tell for themselves that the flames has long since faded. That's the struggle of this day and age, getting anything to burn in other fighters.
Conduct your announcements, Rias. Just incorporate your role as "Sheriff" through the right means. We've already got terrible administrators - we'd rather not see another veteran go to waste with a newly acquired position.

Rias has always had a fire that burns within him.
If he is the new global moderator of this forum, then he will need global support from the members of this community. Whatever laws the new sheriff has in store, I will see to it myself that others obey them without question. I have the same respect for Rias now as I had for him many years ago. I for one am glad he has decided to step forward out of the shadows and take on a position of leadership. That just goes to show that there is a change in the winds, so to speak. Let us hope that this brings new life to the forums. Let us pray that Rias will be a good moderator, and that textual combat floruishes once more, as it did in the past.

What about an art gallery of past and present champions of a certain type of fighting style? (T1, T2 , S20, etc..) Who ever the best artist(s) are can either draw the belt(s) and then the names or the champion holding the belt(s). Sounds like a lot of work but it could be fun.

Why belts? Why not, trophies?

Trophies can work. Maybe make them unique un like the regular trophies.

I would like a larger section for Xat, simply because it needs more room for information to be filed accordingly, rather than a whole slue of threads that don't relate at all to one another.

I don't know where I should put this, but I guess site suggestions. As for the tournament, everyone should post their characters they are using. Age, Name, height, weight, looks, about them, their powers [if they have any], their character history. [The fictional bit about their past, because it could be useful in a fight.] Etc. This should be done before the tourney, so it gives fighters a chance to study others and their opponents so they can add more depth to the tourney and to the RP.

I propose one simple suggestion.
Start over.
Wipe the slate clean and begin fresh. I'm not suggesting everyone forget about their most memorable characters and battles, as such experiences are useful for teaching mistakes and strategies unto future generations. But I think such things should be archived and set aside somewhere to make way for a new reform.
I propose a structure with very basic rules. The parameter of any good one-on-one or multiplayer battle is this: measurements. Every dimension, strength and number should be taken into consideration, documented and understood before battle. There should always be 3 referees and at least 2 ambassadors, one eyewitness and counselor from each side. Perhaps each fighter should have a coach. But all heights, weights, vulnerabilities, weapons and whatnot should be measured and approved before going into battle. I think even the playing stage or battlefield itself should be carefully detailed and properly anylized by anyone who expects a well understood, fairly resolved battle.
- Keep it structured, but keep it fun and simple - Battles should always begin and end with respect and honor - Weapons, armor, powers and abilities should be discussed in detail and approved by the judges before battle - If weapons, armor, powers and abilities become a problem, do without - Be honest, be fair, be wise, fight well - T1, T2, or T4, everything else just complicates fighting

I don't think that Lance should be moderator for the Xat sub-section. He is not from Xat, and will continually make bullshit posts. He knows little about anything on there, and only dabbles in a SMALL portion of our fighting.

I say long as MG has power, who cares if Lance does. XD Considering MG has dabble into everybody's past, pretending he was there. Sooo that's just my two cents, lol.

As a newer member of this forum and community, the only suggestion I can think of is maybe cleaning up the site a little bit?
I mean, it's kind of confusing when you get here and see all different people sharing all different opinions, often times in conflict with one another. There are so many rulesheets for different fighting styles, why not get rid of all of them and just have one official rulesheet posted? And why have so many speedbased styles? Just have one that's basic and one advanced, nothing more and nothing less. Plus there's the opinion on here of who the best admin is, who the best judges are, who the champions and altogether best fighters are, it's confusing especially when everyone disagrees about everything on here. So I suggest organisation, that's all.
Make things simple again.

I agree with Loco 100% MG we need to up grade the staff and pan things out abit and now Ukyo is gone I would really appreciate it if you upgraded my status to Admin. Times are changing once again, lets take hold of the momentum before it's to late.
