Declaring War To declare war, both factions have to accept the challenge. Once accepted there's no backing out of fights, so make sure that war's really what you want before you get into one.
Winning a War To win a war, one group most eliminate all members of the other group or one of the groups must submit. You are only allowed to use one character per war, so once your character dies you aren't allowed to use another character or revive that character. Once you die you're done for good as far as the war is concerned.
Fights Fights are up to the combatants. Personally, I think a best out of three format works best. One style of Fighter A's choice, one of Fighter B's choice, and if there's the need for a third fight then it should take place in a mutual style. This is only a suggestion. If the fighters can agree to one style then that works too. Fights can also be ranking matches in the SFL along with counting in the war.
Jumping Some people have honor, some don't. All fights aren't going to be fair one on one fights. In a 2 vs. 1, the 2 fighters have to total up to 10 hits against the 1 fighter in order to kill him. Vice versa, the 1 fighter has to hit each fighter 5 times before he can kill them. These fights can be used for ranking purposes in the SFL too. For instance, if Bob is 0-0 and is jumped by Joe and Steve and wins, his record becomes 2-0 while theirs drops to 0-1 each.

Actually, I agree with these rules for wars.
