I used mathematics to decide this, so don't fucking bitch at me if you think it is wrong, math doesn't lie.
If someone is hitting 180 WPM, that means they are hitting a T2 attack in 3.33 seconds, meaning that the only way to dodge them if you are slower is to either pretype, or copy and paste. MG says Kael was faster than him, that means if he is going around less than 180 WPM, Violet Bloodstone would easily have beaten him back then, especially since she is consistently that way.

Kael shouldn't even be mentioned as a comparison, since Prettz had exceeded him much earlier than 2013.

I would say this should be in the Division Two subforum because it only accounts for T2 and the unified division is supposed to be T1 and T2, but this site doesn't get enough traffic for it to matter.

Good to see you guys are still around. As for your post, I don't know if this is a ploy to lure me back or if you've really bumped your head. There is a difference between the greatest and the best, my friend. This is more-so a list of the fastest fighters. Fastest != greatest. On a side note, I'd love to see Violet 2.0 in action myself. Where do you guys frequent?

Kael shouldn't even be mentioned as a comparison, since Prettz had exceeded him much earlier than 2013. What? So much misinformation in this thread. For one, Prettz never 'surpassed' me when I was active. At best he was my equal and we traded pretty equally and that was past my 'prime' so to speak. Secondly, as far as my 'average' being 180 (in my prime lawl) and Prettz doubling and easily surpassing my speed? I'm a bit confused. I am nowhere near as fast as I used to be and I can still easily burst to 450+. At least check your facts before going on and making shit up. I guess because guys like MG and I aren't around anymore and not dominating anymore it's easy to tell people whatever you want. In the coming weeks I may be able to come back for a while just to put a stamp on it. Peace.

Kael, first off . . . nobody uses that formula of tech-two anymore for structuring their posts. As for hitting "456" with that type of simplistic wording, it's easy for most fighters to achieve that.

I would just like to point out that I wasn't saying that was the current style of fighting. I was just using it as an example to debunk the opening post, or that Prettz had somehow surpassed me 'long before' I had become inactive, which just isn't true. When I stopped being active nobody could match me in speed. I came back a few times randomly after not having been around for generally a year or two and played around for a few weeks (and both times I did that I quickly rose back to the top, though I had to use more MG techniques and focus on being wily rather than just relying on pure speed since I'd obviously lost a step). I miss the competitive nature of this, and every once in a while I'll hop on typeracer or whatever but it's just not the same. It's really too bad that something like this fizzled out. I'd definitely love to do like a tournament of legends or something of that sort with ample time to prepare and get 'back into shape' so to speak.

What about just a tournament, period? Reason being, I'm disinterested in the idea of fighting the same old guys. Some new blood would be enticing.

I'd be moderately interested too. If we could get a group together for it that would be down. I miss competing.

Just let it go. You're not going to encounter new blood. As far as diverting from people you've already fought, you typically seem to have less of an inclination to fight anyone that'll actually have a chance at beating you, MG. If by that off-chance you had the opportunity to fight someone that's relatively new, would you actually fight them, IF they're fast? Or would it be better for you to fight a slow person? Self-esteem boosting is always nice.
I'm actually really tired of anyone posting on these proboards saying that they're interested in fighting again, or at least finding the concept of competition to be appealing -- just for them to dodge any applicable fight that comes their way. Every time -I- ever sign on here, it's the same posting over and over. Some random comes from out of no where proclaiming that they're great, and/or something worthwhile. Yet, somehow, magically (vastly exaggerated), they either do fight and they're the equivalent of a standardized 65 WPM employee in the work place. OR, they just back down entirely.
Look, Speed-Fighting is DEAD, it's not coming back. So, I don't know why people still act like there's something to be afraid of. It's a textual fight, an e-fight: -Not- your life and career on the line. Just suck it up and have fun with it, don't be concerned about being bodied by a dude. What do you think you have to lose, your historical dignity? No. And chances are, you didn't matter in the Speed-Fighting world to anybody to begin with. You've got nothing to lose. It's not like you have to fully return, you can speed-fight occasionally on the side. It's not a full-time job, nor does it ever have to be. I have a 33-year old named Alex Dubinsky (Dalmuros), that STILL will speed-fight, and he's been doing it since 1994 for Christ sake. He was considered great in his time, and even though he isn't now, that's not holding him back from sparring someone.
Look, I'm just asking for people to stop being scared fake little twats all the time. We all have work, schooling, and other duties in our life to deal with now. But if I'm able to spare 2 minutes out of the day for a speed-fight, I'm sure the rest of you can manage the same thing.

Let me clarify. Nobody, and I mean nobody is looking for Turnbasers on this site.

Eh, I'd TB him. It's not like there's someone else to fight.

I think MG has lost his mind on this one. Don't mind him, he's a scruffy old gomer.
